Furious Badgers formed in 2010, following several acoustic sessions at the Bridge House pub in Copsale, when Dave and Brian, the landlord, would play various Irish ballads and other folk-rock favourites until well after the doors had been shut. Dave's original idea was that the band would simply consist of anyone who fancied jumping up and joining in, and audience participation is still an important part of our pub gigs..!

‘The Badgers’ have had various line-ups, but we had the same four, core members, (Dave, Ev, Chris and Andy) since 2012 - with occasional guest appearances from the hugely talented Gill Morley - playing electric fiddle for us when she's not touring with Soul2Soul or Alabama3. 

In 2015 Chris took a break for a while due to family illness but an old mate from the Bridge House days, Pete Tomes, valiantly took over drumming duties for us. Chris is now back with us and Pete 'deps' on the gigs that Chris can't do.

Renowned as a lively, party band – The Badgers love seeing people enjoying live music as much as we do and, although we play mostly covers, our ‘Sett’ list consists of an eclectic mix of songs that, hopefully, mean you’ll come away having heard a lot of songs that you like, but haven’t heard other covers bands playing.
